SERVICES

Relationship Therapy

Helping you strengthen connection, heal wounds, and improve communication.

We support partners in relationships of all kinds to navigate obstacles, decisions, and life changes. We can help to identify patterns of conflict, find new pathways for communication, and repair wounds that may have been hard to talk about. We help each partner to feel heard and understood, by their therapist and by each other.

We approach relationship therapy from a nonjudgmental, affirmative perspective that prioritizes our clients’ goals for their partnership. Some of the issues we can address in relationship therapy include:

  • improving communication;
  • improving conflict resolution;
  • addressing identity issues in relationships (race, gender, class, religion);
  • resolving “stuck” patterns of relating;
  • addressing sexual intimacy;
  • recovering from trust violations/affairs/infidelity; and
  • healing from individual and shared traumas.

We are comfortable working with people in traditional (monogamous) and nontraditional (open, polyamorous, swinging, etc.) relationships. Trans, queer, and other sex- and gender-minority-identified people are welcome. We are kink-friendly and sex-worker-friendly.

Toward satisfying, joyful sexual intimacy.

Many of our clients seek our services because of our training and experience in sex therapy. We work with individuals, partners, couples, and spouses of all identities who seek to heal, understand, and improve their intimate relationships with themselves and others. We support clients in healing from the sexual and emotional impacts of shame, trauma, and a sex-negative culture. We work with people around issues of gender identity, sexual orientation, desire, challenges with arousal and/or orgasm, and compulsive sexual behavior.

We embrace many of the philosophies of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), including its affirmative, non-pathologizing approach to sex therapy.
