Noah Offenbacher, LMSW

Psychotherapist
pronouns: he/him

Noah holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and English from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He is supervised by Kate MacShane, M.Ed., LCSW-C, CST.

Noah sees clients in person in our Frederick office and via telehealth.

Noah is a white, trans, queer, neurodivergent therapist. H views therapy as a collaborative, client-centered journey of exploration, healing, and personal growth. Noah uses an integrative approach, drawing on ideas from humanistic, narrative, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapies.

Noah approaches therapy with the belief that there is no “right” way to be a person. He believes that clients deserve a therapy experience that is tailored to their unique needs and goals, striving to meet clients where they are with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Noah invites clients to bring all parts of themselves, recognizing the ways that identity, environment, and lived experience shape how clients understand themselves and move through the world. He aims to accompany clients in exploring their concerns from a strengths-based lens, acknowledging the role of intersecting systems of oppression in mental health.

Before beginning clinical work, Noah supported graduate students with disabilities and provided case management services to uninsured adults in a primary care setting. These experiences strengthened his commitment to affirming, anti-oppressive, trauma-informed care.
