Kalen holds a Bachelor of Science from Towson University and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore at the Shady Grove universities.
Kalen is supervised by Kate MacShane, LCSW-C. He provides sessions in person at the Frederick office, and via telehealth for clients physically located in the state of Maryland.
Kalen is a white, transgender, and neurodivergent psychotherapist. He strives to provide a safe and inclusive environment for clients to deepen their self-understanding and work towards enhancing their overall well-being.
Kalen enjoys working with both adults and adolescents. His work centers the autonomy and strengths of his clients. Kalen values the importance of working collaboratively with the client as a team and viewing them within their unique context.
