Emma holds a BA in Psychology from The University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MSW from Smith College School for Social Work. Emma is a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) under the clinical supervision of Kate MacShane, LCSW-C.

Emma is a queer, white, cisgender therapist who practices from an anti-oppressive and relational framework.  She holds a stance of preemptive radical inclusion to create experiences that involve all clients’ identities in the room.  Emma enjoys working with clients to develop meaningful connections in their relationships, improve self-advocacy, and explore identity.

Emma has experience working with veterans in VAs and group homes with a focus on PTSD, complex trauma, and moral injury.  She also worked with youth in the Boston metro area providing in-home family therapy and coordinating with schools and community supports while centering the strengths of her youth clients.

Emma attended the True Colors Conference in 2018 (Navigating Polyamory, Working with Parents of Transgender/Non-Binary Youth, Harm Reduction, Disability & Sexuality, Negotiating Gender Play with Romantic/Sexual Partners).  She received a Certificate of Human Sexuality in 2019 from her training at the San Francisco VA (Sensate Focus Therapy, Military Sexual Culture, Sex and Stimulant Use, Sexual Trauma, Supportive Letter Writing for Trans Adults).
